Workplace Noise assessment
- Workplace noise is assessed in accordance with the Control of Noise at Work Regulations 2005. Comprehensive reports are written detailing employee exposure, results are discussed and the client is advised on noise reduction measures.
- We can advise on the suitability of existing hearing protection and/or recommend alternatives based on your requirements.
- Personal dosimetry readings also taken on selected personnel using small, light-weight dose badges, these comply with the Type 2 Standard.
Environmental Noise assessment
- Environmental noise assessments are undertaken in accordance with BS4142, “Method for rating industrial noise affecting mixed residential and industrial areas”, where applicable. Other standards are often applied including:
BS8233 Sound Insulation Regulations
- World Health Organisation Guidelines for Community Noise 1999,
Minerals Planning Guidance 11 (MPG11). - Monitoring undertaken using a precision integrating sound level meter, this complies with the IEC 61672 Type 1 Standard.
- We also offer noise mapping and octave band analysis as required.
