- Hand Arm Vibration (HAV) exposure is measured in accordance with the Control of Vibration at Work Regulations 2005. Measurements are taken to determine vibration magnitudes transferred from the hand tool to the hand.
- Trigger times are evaluated and vibration results are compared to the Exposure Action Value (EAV) of 2.5 m/s2 and Exposure Limit Value (ELV) of 5.0 m/s2. Where numerous tools are used then combined usage figures are calculated.
- Advice is provided to employers on the action required to reduce employee exposure to vibration.
